Morak

Privacy Policy

How Morak handles basic site data, preferences, and information you choose to share.

Information we collect

Morak may collect basic usage information, such as pages viewed, referring pages, approximate device details, and interactions with the audition or directory. Audition analytics record funnel events and broad script-length buckets, but never the script text, generated audio, voice content, or raw IP address. If you contact us directly, we receive the information you choose to send.

Voice audition inputs

When you create an audition, your script excerpt and selected delivery controls are sent to one or more third-party voice-generation providers. Morak identifies the provider behind a voice when you make your final selection. Morak uses the responses to return four audio previews to your browser and does not save the script or generated audio on its own servers. Do not submit confidential information, protected health information, or text you are not allowed to use.

Local casting storage

Your active creative brief, shortlist, result, and generated audio are stored in your browser using IndexedDB for up to 24 hours. This allows refresh and same-device recovery without creating an account. Starting another casting clears the previous result. You can also clear this information through your browser’s site-data controls.

How we use information

We use non-sensitive usage information to operate the service, measure whether visitors complete a casting, improve directory and audition pages, respond to messages, prevent abuse, and control beta generation costs.

Cookies and analytics

Morak uses a long-lived, HTTP-only anonymous device identifier for beta quotas, browser storage for the active casting, and analytics for product events. Quota records contain one-way hashes of the device identifier and network address; Morak does not store raw IP addresses in the quota store. You can control cookies and site data through your browser settings.

Third-party services and links

Audition inputs are handled by third-party voice-generation providers under their own privacy and service terms. Morak also uses analytics and infrastructure providers to operate the site. Directory pages may link to vendor websites and documentation. Those services have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not replace them.

Your choices

You can limit cookies in your browser, avoid submitting personal information through contact channels, and request that we remove information you previously sent directly to us.
